37 weeks @ Gillian Angstadt Baan's wedding

A fun night out at the Racquet and Tennis Club for our dear friend Gil's wedding! Probably the last time I can get my feet into real shoes.... but it was worth it on Saturday night.

36 weeks

Starting to feel rather stuffed. Like a big swollen version of my old self. I used to feel like this my Sophmore year of Trinity too. If I can convince Kel to take some photos of me I'll have more to share soon.... This shot is after a lovely Autumn lunch with my mom and Mrs Belt.

How Grace Kelly REALLY feels about the baby

A. She looks like a panther to me.
B. We can't get her out of the moses basket or off the tummy time mat no matter how high we place them or where we hide them. She is a trouble maker!

A Wander Through The Planting Fields @ 32 weeks

Kel and I took a long walk on Sunday through the Planting Fields here in Oyster Bay. It was so beautiful!! The gardens and hothouses were so amazing we didn't even make it into the Coe Manor House. Inspiring gardens tho I am getting so big long walks aren't so pleasant anymore.... Shots of Kel are more palatable than shots of me at 32 weeks now...

28 weeks (me) and 19 months (Willem)

Above are a few shots from Sonja and family's recent visit to Oyster Bay Cove. Willem is 19 months old and his hair defies all laws of blonde. We think he's invented a new shade(I guess Sonja and Erik deserve some credit) and we loved having him. Can't wait to see the Spek family again soon!

26 weeks and counting

We hit 26 weeks today. Getting bigger every hour it seems. Also, hungrier. Above are some photos from our amazing trip to Montauk (the Easternly tip of Long Island). The beaches were gorgeous and empty and our friend's house was like staying at the Four Seasons without the bill at the end. So beautiful out there!!

What Kel and I might have looked like in 1812

Thanks to Megan Malvern for thinking of such a fun take-home present at the wedding this past Sunday. It was a great day and now we have this keepsake to remember the fab event by!!

VERY CUTE little visitor

Six month old Addison Grace Mahony came to visit us with her mom, grandparents and uncle. Kel and I were smitten at once with her big blue eyes and alluring smile. TOO CUTE. No really, it was ridiculous. She knows how to work the crowd and smile on cue!

I even held her for a while... warming up to the whole holding babies thing right now...

Posse Reunion 2008

Big success in 2008. We all came back together having last congregated as a group at our wedding. We had a big toast to all the things to come this year tho I didn't get to really partake in the lovely champagne Peter Barrett shared with the group...happy days.

Kel Unafraid

The water was probably 65 degrees at the Bouquet River and Kel was brave enough to go in. I was way wimpier so I just took some action shots. Gorgeous day.

View From Above

That's Kel, me, Jenny, Maya, Lyla, Rod, Jessie, Sophie, Sam, Tucker and assorted stuffed animals about to hike the Brothers in Keene Valley. Some of us were proud do to one of the brothers...others were more ambitious.

Baby Kelly had no aversions to hiking...thanks to Kara for loaning me the maternity shorts...tough fashion choice but there's no way around it really.

Great views from the top and some beautiful mushrooms popping out of the foliage on our way up.

The Skeptic

I am talking about my beautiful Godson George Vermylen Thornton XVI (well there is no 'XVI' but it looks like there should be). I think George is as skeptical of me as I am of my own mothering skills..... onwards and upwards. George is showing off his brand new PJs imported just for him by his uncle Rob on his trip from Cambodia.

The Natural

I'm talking about Kel. He is a natural daddy-to-be. Myself? I am a bit timid still... Here is a picture of Kel feeding Taylor Zarou (it could actually be Taylor's twin Davis...). But either way the baby was very content in Kel's supportive arms.

Foot in Space

Some photos from our 20-week scan. The baby was incredibly active; surprising both the technician and the doctor with its constant movement and agility in the womb. We were in the office for over an hour and a half trying to get clear shots of everything but in the end things look good and we are relieved to see all the fingers and toes are in good order. My favorite shot is the foot floating around - its all sort of a blur.

A few sunny day shots

Just a picture or two of the ever-growing belly.

"Green Fingers" working their magic in the herb garden

There were some skeptical Maiolis but we grew corn in our backyard and it almost looks ready for "harvest."

Sunflowers brighter than Van Gogh's

Some sunflowers bloomed in our herb garden all by themselves. They are so beautiful and make us happy even when its early Saturday morning and I have to work.
