Foot in Space

Some photos from our 20-week scan. The baby was incredibly active; surprising both the technician and the doctor with its constant movement and agility in the womb. We were in the office for over an hour and a half trying to get clear shots of everything but in the end things look good and we are relieved to see all the fingers and toes are in good order. My favorite shot is the foot floating around - its all sort of a blur.

A few sunny day shots

Just a picture or two of the ever-growing belly.

"Green Fingers" working their magic in the herb garden

There were some skeptical Maiolis but we grew corn in our backyard and it almost looks ready for "harvest."

Sunflowers brighter than Van Gogh's

Some sunflowers bloomed in our herb garden all by themselves. They are so beautiful and make us happy even when its early Saturday morning and I have to work.

Our Guard Cat

Grace is getting ready for the baby by honing her guarding skills. Right now she is protecting the family of wooden ducks in the back yard. She was on patrol yesterday and nothing could distract her even while Kel and I took another photo of the baby bump in front of an unidentified blooming tree....anyone know what it is?

19 Weeks Woo Hoo

Some more shots.... not too much has changed.... Kel's feet have molded to his Crocs at this point. I am starting to wear unattractive footwear lately as my ankles have been bothering me. Not an attractive look (not featured here)!

Mellow babies spoil me

We had a visitor at The Printery last week. A 5 month old little guy named Gregor who pretty much only smiled, giggled and stared. Very well behaved little man worth a shout out here!

18 weeks and popping

We are 18 weeks now. Getting bigger everyday. Belly button hasn't popped yet so there is a strange wave in the middle of my baby bump. I haven't yet felt any movement in there but am looking forward to it soon! Another hot day out there today. Muggy July in New York...thank God for the pool. No pictures of pregnant ladies in bathing suits allowed here tho.

"Babe, we have green fingers"

The Kelly family is growing more things than a baby right now. In our rabbit-proof garden in the backyard we have Long Island corn, various herbs and two types of tomatoes. Grace Kelly has been a ruthless guardian of the garden; unfortunately at the expense of some birdies. When we checked on the tomatoes the other day, which really need to be staked soon, Kel was so pleased he blurted out "babe, we have green fingers." I think you mean green thumbs, Kel...(and right now green tomatoes).
